Note di degustazione
Full ruby. Ripe red fruits on the nose and palate, with slow-mounting spiciness and florality adding complexity. Fleshy and open-knit, with very good back-end lift and power. Finishes on a spicy note, with silky tannins lending shape and grip.

The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape is dark plum/purple, with silky tannins, abundant black currant and sweet cherry fruit with hints of mulberries, lavender and licorice. It is perfumed, full-bodied, rich and appealing. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. This has been a reliable producer for at least two decades, capably administered by the Versino family. The classic cuvee is traditional Chateauneuf du Pape and the Cuvee de Felix is still made within that framework but slightly riper and denser. Importer: Louis/Dressner Selections, New York, NY; tel. Beautifully done and a wine to make traditionalist swoon, the 2010 Domaine Bois de Boursan Châteauneuf-du-Pape has aromas of saddle leather, herbs de Provence, truffle, and pepper literally soaring from the glass. This medium to full-bodied 2010 is concentrated, shows superb balance, and carries a firm, focused feel through the finish. It will be better in a handful of years, and drink well for 12-15.
Deep ruby. Fresh raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by floral and spice nuances. Vibrant and nervy on the palate, offering sappy red fruit flavors and gaining depth with air. Much more lively than the somewhat feral Cuvee des Felix bottling, finishing with good clarity and cut.
