Note di degustazione
Two terrific offerings from Bois de Boursan, the traditional cuvee of 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape has reached full maturity, Notes of fig, raspberry, garrigue, seaweed, and spice box are luscious, up-front, and fully evolved. In the mouth, the wine displays sweet, savory fruit, loads of Provencal character, and a spicy, peppery finish. This wine should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.

The saturated plum-colored 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape is a splendidly rich, well-built wine that will last for 15 or more years. A classically-styled Chateauneuf with abundant quantities of pepper, spice box, cedar, and black fruits in its well-nuanced aromatics, it is expansive, full-bodied, moderately tannic, and ruggedly constructed. The finish reveals copious glycerin, high alcohol, and fine extract. This wine will benefit from 2-4 years of cellaring, and keep for 15-18. Importer: J & R Selections, Mt. Pleasant, MI; tel.
