Note di degustazione
Starting with the classic 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape, this Grenache-dominated blend (there’s 15% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre) offers a sexy, full-bodied style as well as tons of dark plummy fruits, licorice and spice aromas and flavors. It has solid freshness, sweet fruit and the class to continue drinking nicely for 4-5 years.

Just gorgeous right out of the gate, the 2006 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape leads off with a big blast of spicy raspberry fruit, leather, minerals and garrigue notes that lead into a medium to full bodied palate. Balanced and with a traditional feel, this has a beautiful, tannic finish.
Ruby-red. Fresh red berry and floral aromas are complicated by smoky minerals and baking spices. Blackberry and kirsch on the palate, framed by dusty tannins. Finishes with gentle sweetness and very good clarity, with the smoky note repeating.
Slightly simple, open, very ripe black fruits. Tarry finish. Lots of pleasure even if quite evolved. (JR)
