The 2009 Nuits St. Georges Les Damodes is a racy, exciting wine that captures the best qualities of the 2009 vintage in its open, radiant personality. I am sure the Damodes will be better in a few years’ time, but the truth is it is already pretty striking. Dark red cherries, spices and licorice meld together nicely on the long, creamy finish.
