2008 Bouscaut

Deep ruby. Delicate, peppery sweetness on the nose and lots of sweetness to the concentrated fruit, almost coverinng the wine's freshness. Ripe, compact tannins. Spicy oak aftertaste and good length with a nice chewiness at the very end. (JH)

Brilliant purple. Something a little 'singed' on the nose and then a hint of leafiness on the palate. Lots of tannin – pretty ripe tannin. Then very fluid texture with lots of juice. Pretty ambitious and persistent. (JR)

Intense aromas of spice and inviting apricot and orange notes but perhaps a little too broad. Broad, rich and dense on the palate. Plenty of spicy oak but it is filled out by firm fruit. Tangy length and freshness to finish. Makes its mark but a little too woody for me. (JH)
