2007 Le Dix de Los Vascos

(85% cabernet sauvignon, 10% carmenere and 5% syrah) Bright ruby. Cherry-vanilla, dark berries and cedar on the nose, with notes of tobacco, oak spice and dried flowers adding complexity. Round, fleshy, sweet red and dark berry flavors are firmed by a bitter chocolate quality and become firmer with air. The finish repeats the cherry, spice and floral notes and hangs on with good tenacity. This will be even better with a few more years of bottle age.
