A terrific success in this difficult vintage, Las Cases's forward 1991 is close to full maturity, revealing flattering scents of tobacco, cassis, and toasty oak. Medium-bodied, with excellent concentration and ripeness, it is hard to believe this wine could have come from a vintage such as 1991. Drink it now and over the next 12-15 years.
