In a smart wooden box. This the regular vintage blend that has been at least 15 years in the cellar. This cuvée was disgorged January 2019, though the next disgorgement was May 2020. They disgorge very small quantities for Collection. A very different vintage from the much cooler 2012. Zero dosage. Deep greenish gold. Very rich nose and broad, fleshy palate. Not immensely autolytic on the nose. Round and friendly. And definitely Chardonnay. Really quite meaty! Lots of sweetness despite the zero dosage – so it's all age! It went very well with aged parmesan to add umami to the Nobu crab salad served with it. (JR)

Totally seductive on the nose: ginger and lavender and buttered toast but still so fresh. All those flavours on the palate plus orange pith. Delicious, full of flavour and still in fine shape. (JH)
Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Disgorged June 2011, dosage < 6 g/l. The longer the wine spends on the lees, the lower the dosage needed, says president of Delamotte and Salon Didier Depond. Some bottles of this wine apparently had no dosage. Pale gold. Lovely rich deep aroma reminds me of fougasse (Provençal bread) with orange flower water, though not as floral as that suggests. So creamy on the palate, relatively gentle in both acidity and fizz. Tastes very much at ease, comfortable, but still has energy. Long and mouth-filling. (JH)
