Note di degustazione
The dark-colored 1999 Nuits-St.-Georges Murgers has a nose of violets, blueberries, and blackberries. Medium-bodied and silky-textured, it has excellent to outstanding depth of fruit. This tangy blackberry and black currant-flavored wine also exhibits touches of toasty new oak. Drink it over the next 6-7 years. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel. A wine that Méo has had considerable success with over the years and has the ability to age extremely well. As one would expect, this is quite dark, fairly closed on the nose, concentrated black pinot/earthy fruit flavors and an elegant, nicely long finish. Lovely wine. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jan01,2001

Bright ruby-red. Roasted plum, black cherry, cassis, chocolate and animal fur on the nose. A step up in flesh and intensity from Meo village wines. Round and silky, with lovely pinot tang, thanks to firm acidity. This has plenty of size for '99. Finishes with supple, even tannins.
