1996 Lucie

This well-made, structured wine possesses medium body, moderate weight, and sweet berry fruit intermixed with spice and toast. Some of the fleshy opulence it was displaying last spring has fallen away to reveal more tannin, but this will be an accessible, quick to mature wine requiring consumption during its first 5-7 years of life. It is attractive and a fine value.
