1999 Larmande

Very plummy aromas, with hints of milk chocolate. Medium-bodied, with velvety tannins and a juicy finish. A bit short. Better than from barrel. Best after 2003. 7,915 cases made. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 2002

This medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 exhibits elegant, sweet berry fruit intermixed with saddle leather, dried herbs, and smoke, medium body, soft tannin, and moderate depth. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. Wine Advocate.April, 2002

Medium red-ruby. Aromas of cassis, bitter chocolate and mint. Juicy dark berry flavors show more intensity than flesh thanks to bright acidity. Tannins are slightly dry, but there good lingering fruit.
