The 1995 is cut from the same mold as the 1996, except the 1995 possesses more accessible glycerin and fruit, as well as lower acidity. It offers a dense ruby/purple color, and an intense herb, pain grille, jammy blackberry and cassis-scented nose intertwined with wood-fire-like aromas. The wine is soft, round, and medium to full-bodied, with a sexy combination of glycerin, fruit, sweet tannin, and heady alcohol. It should drink well for 10-12 years.

Fabulous aromas of ripe and exotic fruit with crushed blackberries and coffee beans. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a reserved, fruity aftertaste. Pretty and delicious. A little more time will give you even more. This is a forgotten, delicious wine.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008. 9,500 cases made. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 2007
