Mid garnet. Leafy red fruit. More leafy and a bit slight on the palate but refreshing and cedary on the end. (JH)

The 2003 offers charming sweet and sour red cherry notes along with good minerality, crisp, zesty acidity, and light to medium body. There is little depth and substance, but its acidity will guarantee a life-span of 10-15 years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2016.
Healthy crimson. Blurred rim. Quite evolved, ‘smudgy’ nose. Very traditional structure. Satin texture. No blockbuster, but good balance. Very fine tannins. A subtle wine. Probably difficult to judge en primeur. (JR)
Notably pale. This wine really is a strong statement against the winds of fashion! Defiantly light in both colour and weight and aromatically leafy. Very sweet start and then pretty jagged tannins intrude. I suspect this wine may be widely criticised. It's a valid style but perhaps not one of the most expressive versions of it. (JR)
