Ruby-red. Intriguing aromas of cassis, black cherry, gunflint and game, plus a vegetal complexity; seems considerably less evolved than the Clos de Beze. High-pitched and minerally in the mouth; much tighter than the Clos de Beze, with very concentrated but cooler, slightly medicinal black fruit flavors. Finishes with superb length and grip, but the tannins are a bit rougher than those of the Beze.
