Bright, saturated dark red. Refined aromas of red cherry, spices and rose petal. Juicy, dense and tightly wound, with lovely subtle sweetness to the aromas of framboise and smoky minerality. Savory wine with enticing lift and medicinal reserve. The slowly mounting finish features serious but sweet tannins and a sappy black pepper accent. This very primary wine needs time in bottle to gain in texture and nuance.

Good bright, full red. Pure nose offers raspberry, flowers, minerals and a whiff of game. Bright, intense and classically dry; tight today and very firmly built, offering excellent inner-mouth tension. In a distinctly refined style but very closed today. The savory, rising, solidly tannic finish shows subtle soil tones and a distinctly chewy quality. The crop level here was just 25 hectoliters per hectare, according to winemaker Nadine Gublin.
An intensely spicy if cool and restrained nose of plum, violet, earth and underbrush nuances leads to ultra-refined, tension-filled and mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors. This is a concentrated, serious and overtly powerful effort that delivers stunningly good length on the driving and palate staining finish. Impressive. Tasted: Apr 15, 2013. Drink: 2023+
