Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta. Aged in 100% new barriques. Opaque, impenetrably dark ruby with violet tinges. Very youthful, modern nose, perhaps with a touch more oak than 2004. Unapproachable, really, and hasn't developed any tertiary aromas at all. Very sweet, dark fruit and lots of concentration on the palate, but closes up swiftly. Great acidic impact on the finish. Ends on bitter laurel and dark cherry, but really too young to broach. (WS)
