Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2012-2022, Robert Parker, Dec 2011

The regular 2009 Haut-Brisson offers up smoky, kirsch, cassis and floral notes as well as hints of pain grille and oak. Beautifully textured, with a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and loads of ripe fruit and glycerin, this is a sexy, hedonistic style of wine to drink over the next decade. This Chinese-owned estate (Elaine Kwok) has made their two best wines to date. I have liked these wines in the past, and these 2009s are quite an accomplishment, coming from a terroir that is not considered one of the better ones in St.-Emilion, sitting just adjacent to that of Jonathan Maltus’ Chateau Teyssier.
