Light yellow. Nicely focused toasty peach, ripe pear and orange pith aromas are gently accented by anise and lees notes. Rich in fresh citrus and dried pear flavors and lifted by bright, harmonious acidity and tangy minerality. Deepens on the finish, picking up a buttery note and a hint of peach, showing impressive concentration and length.

Nose dominated by powdered stone and apple. Superripe in the mouth, with exotic flavors of poire, canned pineapple and spices. The pear eau de vie character carries through on the slightly aggressive finish, along with a suggestion of saltwater taffy. Substantial blanc de blancs with some rather odd flavors.
