A perfumed, spicy and fragrant wine, the 2006 Perrin & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards shows lots of kirsch and raspberry fruit aromatics that are mixed with spice, saddle leather and underlying mineral and stone notes. Medium bodied with sweet fruit, fresh acidity and a clean, enjoyable finish. Drink this over the next 8 to 10 years.

The negociant wine, actually made from declassified young vines off the Beaucastel estate and some other vineyards nearby in the area known as Les Olivets, is the 2006 Perrin et Fils Chateauneuf du Pape Les Sinards. This looks to have fine potential.
