Perfumed nose of apricots, white peach and white flowers. Similar to de Fargues - light, clean with a zingy minerality. FINE+RARE

The 2011 Bastor-Lamontagne is pale in colour. It lacks intensity on the nose, rather ephemeral in style. The palate is fresh and clean on the entry, waxy in texture, quite spicy, but it lacks presence and botrytis concentration on the finish. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting.
Tasted blind. Pungent and rich with some brûlée notes. Some heat on the end. Quite a big wine! (JR)
Thereâs nice creaminess and cooked-peach succulence on the palate with enough acidity to balance well, but on the nose thereâs butter-almond character that will either appeal or leave you cold. Drink now.
