Dark, mysterious nose. Lots of acidity and tannin. A bit demanding at this point in its evolution. Chunky. (JR)

(23% new French oak, 10% new American oak, 18% 1-year-old American oak and 45% 2-year-old American oak): Bright purple. Deep dark berry and cherry scents show very good clarity and vivacity. Juicy and focused, offering fresh blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a jolt of bracing minerality. Shows very good balance, with pure dark fruit flavors clinging tenaciously on the finish. This lively wine comes in with a pH of 3.52, which puts it squarely into Bordeaux territory.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up pure creme de cassis and blackberry preserve aromas accented by lovely menthol, carob and espresso notes plus a hint of marmite. Very tightly structured with a great backbone of medium-firm, very fine tannins, it remains rich and muscular with nice acid freshness through the long finish. Approachable now, it drinks to 2022+.
