Brooding, backward and tight but with more aromatic intensity, revealing subtle black fruit aromas, earth and an intense spiciness followed by big, muscular and very powerful flavors and a huge amount of extract that completely buffers the very firm tannins. This will require lots of time but it should live for 25 years or more. Don't even think of opening this for at least ten years.
Ruby-red. Subdued but pure aromas of kirsch, cassis and minerals; opened with air to become surprisingly showy. Full, broad and sweet, with compelling, sappy flavors of dark berries, violet, spices and minerals. At once youthful and complete; powerful and scented. A very long, subtle, sweetly oaky wine that showcases the superb fruit of the vintage.
