Saturated, bright ruby-red. Sappy aromas of black cherry and black raspberry. Dense, sweet and opulent; this is positively velvety for a '98 grand cru but has plenty of spicy verve. Very long, spicy finish features substantial, sweet oak tannins and clinging fruit. Compelling and delicious.
