Bright ruby colour, this shows delicious clarity of expression, floral aromatics, silky tannins, black fruits, great linearity and poise, and a salted cracker finish. More closed than the 2009, but with plenty of hidden depths, and very much coming into its drinking moment.

Glossy dark purplish crimson. Smells rather left bank and contained. Sweet start and rather refined, well-worked tannins. Liquorice and black fruits. Drying tannins and some bitterness on the finish at the moment but it may be worth waiting for. (JR)
Bright red-ruby. Red fruits, spices and caramel oak on the nose. Broad and plump but not overly sweet or filled in, displaying good grip to the dark fruit and licorice flavors. Finishes with firm tannins that will need a few years to harmonize with the fruit.
