Note di degustazione
The finest Berliquet I have tasted to date, this dark ruby/purple-colored offering exhibits dense, saturated, flavorful black cherry notes intermixed with licorice, spice box, tobacco, and earth. Full-bodied, ripe, and concentrated, with moderate tannin and a closed but impressively built personality, this wine needs several years to resolve all of its tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2016.

Full ruby. Cherry, red berries, rose petal and licorice on the nose, along with sweet oak notes. Supple and nicely concentrated, with juicy inner-mouth flavors of red fruits, spices and flowers. This struck me as rather Burgundian in style. Sound acids give the wine excellent clarity and lift. Finishes with substantial, dusty tannins and subtle persistence.
