Note di degustazione
Concentrated and rich, with the slightest hint of heavier resin aromatics, and a powerful punch of burnt orange, turmeric and saffron. Intense, luxurious, with a welcome grip of citrus puree that asserts itself as the wine stretches out through the palate. Suggest drinking with something contrasting such as sliced apricots or salty oysters. Harvest September 16 to November 1. François Amirault winemaker.

Space limitations preclude including tasting notes. 2002 was an average vintage.
Big, heavy, intense, and round. Slight edge of rot(?), but lovely weight. (JR)
Bright copper. Penetrating, quite classic and savoury/oaky. Perhaps just the slightest hint of something not quite clean? Round and exciting and wild. Tastes like a biodynamic wine – that unpredictable but confident quality. Not the biggest boned but lovely and toasty. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

Owned by the Lur-Saluces family (which also previously owned Ch. d’Yquem) since 1472, Ch. de Fargues benefited from similar care and attention. The resulting wines are impressive and – unlike most in the region which are now offered en primeur – only released three years after the vintage.
