Note di degustazione
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 53% Merlot, 7 Cabernet Franc. 13% abv. Forward and fruity on the nose with well defined fruit character and some graphite minerality. Light and elegant and quite simple in style but finely balanced. Really quite impressive at this level. FINE+RARE

Tasted blind at the Southwold Bordeaux tasting. The 2012 Lalande-Borie has a tightly wound bouquet, well-defined but yanking on the leash—blackberry and pine cone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite supple in the mouth with well-judged acidity, appreciable density and a very classically-driven finish that has just the right amount of dryness to urge another sip. This is a well-crafted Saint Julien that should offer a decade's worth of pleasure. Tasted January 2016.
Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Very sweet with some liqueur notes. Some green rawness too – very sweet and sour without these two elements being at all linked. (JR)
