Note di degustazione
Another overperforming St Julien, Lalande Borie from the Ducru Beaucaillou stable is made from a blend of 60% Cab Sauv, 35% Merlot and 5% Cab Franc and cropped low at 35hl/ha. It has a lovely leafy cabernet nose and has a bright sappy palate of juicy fruit and ripe firm tannin. Has a great sense of harmony. Classic.

Pretty closed on the nose. Some cassis leaf. On the palate, lively but the tannins are chalky and pretty dry. Flat and a bit vacuous on the finish. (JH)
Made in an attractive, broad, round style, this dark ruby-colored 2011 offers a fragrant perfume of red and black fruits and spice, medium body, and a silky finish. This medium-bodied wine should be consumed over the next 5-6 years.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 27% new oak. Deep velvety crimson. Ripe lifted red cherry. Very spicy. Much more restrained on the palate. Elegant, fresh, lithe and fluid. Not huge depth. Fresh fruit comes back again on the finish. (JH)
