Beautifully complex, spicy black fruit aromas introduce remarkably supple, medium weight flavors that display plenty of pinot sap and a wonderfully broad range of flavors. This is very intense and quite long with a clear sense of breed to it. This is very young with excellent potential and while this will probably never be a truly great Jadot Bèze, it should be a lovely wine in 10 years or so. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Feb24,2001.

Deep ruby-red. Pungent aromas of black fruits and licorice. Powerful and densely packed, with outstanding ripeness and depth of flavor. Wonderful sweetness for the year carries through to the very long, suave finish. Ripe tannins are beautifully supported by extract.
