2001 Nuits St Georges Les St Georges

Red-ruby. Nose dominated by minerals, mocha and clove. Wonderfully sweet and tangy in the mouth, with a terrific spine of acidity giving the powerful flavors a strongly sappy quality. Less silky today than the Bousselots but compellingly juicy and at least as concentrated. Very strong, vibrant finish. Laurent maintains that this wine will last 50 years, but I won't be around to find out.
