Note di degustazione
Disgorged "à la voleé" and served at the domaine without dosage as Brut Nature in April this year, the 2004 Vieilles Vignes du Levant Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru showed nicely matured and very elegant white fruit aromas and delicate brioche notes. Fresh, lean and elegant on the palate, the 2004 is very delicate, creamy and perfectly balanced and reveals very fine raisin and brioche flavors on the fine, long and mineral-fresh finish. "The vines had a lot of reserves due to the 2003 vintage," says Sophie Larmandier. "2004 was a long and slowly ripening vintage, and we started harvesting only mid-September."

Bright yellow with a strong bead. Mineral-driven aromas of lemon, underripe melon, pear skin and white flowers are admirably pure and incisive. Crisp and focused, offering bright citrus and orchard fruit flavors and an impressive undercurrent of chalky minerality. Very dry, with excellent finishing lift, cut and chalky persistence. This would be fantastic with oysters.
