Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2025-2045, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2025

Still youthfully ruby/plum-hued, the 2010 Château Latour A Pomerol has a terrific nose of darker cherry and currant fruits intermixed with new saddle leather, dried flowers, and spice-like nuances. I love its overall complexity, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with sweet tannins, a supple, layered mouthfeel, and a beautiful sense of minerality on the finish. As with most of the top wines of this vintage, it's just now in the early stages of its prime drinking window, with the perfect mix of complexity, fruit, and texture. Enjoy bottles over the coming two decades. Drink 2025-2045.

Good deep red-ruby. Very ripe but restrained aromas of currant and chocolate. A juicy, seamless midweight with enticing sweetness to its flavors of black raspberry, loam and caramel. Finishes with a firm tannic spine and excellent length. A bit youthfully taut today, this wine should show more flesh and finishing sweetness with five or six years in the bottle.

Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2013-2028, Robert Parker, Feb 2013

Elegant loamy soil notes intermixed with sweet cherries as well as hints of underbrush, mocha and mulberry jump from the glass of this pure, medium to full-bodied, dense wine, which possesses good glycerin, flesh and richness. It should drink nicely for up to 15 years. Most of the wines in the Jean-Pierre Moueix stable hit 14.5% natural alcohol in 2010, which was relatively normal for many Right Bank wines dominated by Merlot. Latour a Pomerol’s 2010 is a strong effort from this estate, which seems to be producing outstanding wines on a consistent basis, but nothing yet to remind readers of some of the most profound wines ever made in Bordeaux, the vintages of this estate from 1961, 1959, 1949, 1948 and 1947.
