2002 Mazis Chambertin Cuvee B Vieilles Vignes

(the "B" is designated on the cork) Bright ruby-red. Medicinal bitter cherry, blueberry, smoke and a whiff of maple syrup on the superripe nose. A large-scaled, creamy wine of uncanny sweetness, but extremely ripe and a bit oxidative today. I don't have quite the confidence here that I do with Laurent's Clos de la Roche.
