Punteggio 90+/100 · Da bere 2017-2028, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jun 2015

(14.1% alcohol): Bright ruby-red. Superripe aromas of kirsch , blackberry, licorice, cedar and loamy earth. Sweet and lush on entry, then conveys lovely energy and lift to its chewy, slightly medicinal flavors of dark fruits, spices, menthol and herbs. Firmly built and still a bit youthfully aggressive on the back end, but the wine's tannins and herbal quality are nicely buffered by intense fruit. There's no rush to drink this claret-like Cabernet.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2019-2044, Robert Parker, Apr 2014

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace comes from a 7-acre parcel on Diamond Mountain originally owned by the late Al Bronstein and his widow, Boots. The wine exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, beautiful density and richness, impeccable balance, wonderful purity and depth, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a striking elegance. Still young and vigorous, it should hit its peak in 5-6 years, and should last 20-25 years thereafter. One of the great iconic vineyards of Napa Valley, Diamond Creek Vineyards burst on the scene in the decade of the 1970s with some of the most monumental Cabernet Sauvignons ever made in Napa, if not the entire world (if you have never tasted their 1974s, 1975s, 1976s and 1978s, you’ve missed some of the most colossal Cabernet Sauvignons to have ever been produced in Napa).
