1982 Filhot

The 1982 Filhot has a similar colour to the 1983. This was never a great Sauternes vintage and the nose is a little flat compared to the 1986 Filhot. Yet fair dues: there are hints of orange blossom and toffee apple offering some vestiges of pleasure. The palate is dry on the entry with a lack of botrytis fruit, perhaps just a little rot creeping in on the finish. This should be drunk soon. Tasted at the vertical tasting at Château Filhot.
