The profound 2000 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard Cuvee Catherine is similar to the Kistler Vineyard offering, with additional ripeness, density, and richness. The Cuvee Catherine is a wine of extraordinary ripeness and richness with intense violet aromas mixed with scents of blackberry and cherry liqueur. This exceptional Pinot Noir should drink well for 10-12 years. Steve Kistler and his sidekick, Mark Bixler, feel that the key to making top quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 2000 (an extremely cold year with higher acids) was patience.
