The 2011 Boutisse is a soft, round, attractive, dark-colored St.-Emilion displaying copious notes of cherry confiture. Straightforward and one-dimensional, with attractive fruit as well as an up-front appeal, it can be drunk over the next 3-4 years.

Purplish crimson. Intriguing, old-school nose. Solid and salty rather than particularly sweet. Quite a bit of acidity and tannin. Not enormous concentration but attractive elements and distinctiveness here.
Very ripe and lush, this is rounding into form already, with gorgeous Linzer torte, blackberry and anise flavors laced with toasted spice and fig paste. The long, showy finish still has well-embedded acidity. James Molesworth, WineSpectator.com
