Before it was bought by Haut-Brion. Sweet and fresh. Dense and dancing with some lift as well as all that ripeness. A happy whole. Even if for the moment it's a bit drying on the end. (JR)

This excellent yet under-exploited terroir has produced its finest Tertre Daugay to date. The dark ruby/purple-colored 2009 offers loads of black raspberry, licorice, and black cherry aromas, medium to full body, silky tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and an expansive finish. It should provide enormous pleasure over the next 10-15 years. (Tasted two times.)
Very dark purple. So sweet! Like Edinburgh rock and glucose. Feels as though it will harm the teeth. Pretty sweet and to the limit. (JR)
