Deep glossy crimson. Warm and rewarding without being OTT. Nice ripe flavours at first though perhaps the acidity is a little marked, but this is serious wine with good balance, lots and lots of tannin. It will never be a blockbuster but has integrity. (JR)

I had hoped for better things, but this wine has turned out somewhat monolithic and clumsy, with a dark ruby color, medium body, and no real charm or complexity. Nevertheless, that may well emerge in the future. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2012.
