An excellent Larose-Trintaudon, this 2005 is much richer and deeper than what people normally see from this reliable property. Dense ruby/purple, the wine displays loads of fruit, medium body and more concentration, power and density than usual. Drink it over the next 7-10 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.

Deep crimson. Much more complex on the nose than the 2003. Attractively lively with great balance even if rather scrawnier on the finish than a good classed growth. Racy with notable acidity but real integrity of flavour. Still a little dry on the finish. Wait awhile. (JR)
