This wine has dropped most of its fruit, taking on an earthy, stale mushroom-like quality. The medium ruby color exhibits a great deal of amber and brown. The finish is marked by excessive acidity and a slight dirtiness. There is still some underlying fruit, but this wine seems to be collapsing quickly. Last tasted, 1/89.
