Punteggio 95+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2011

(bottled in September; just two-thirds of a barrel made; 100% vendange entier Deep red-ruby. Superripe, soil-driven aromas of smoke, licorice, pepper, herbs and spices. Lush, saline and very pure, with a hint of chocolate not apparent in the Corton or the Gevrey grand crus. This layered, tactile wine saturates the entire palate. Finishes ripe and extremely long, with lovely floral lift. Superb.

Punteggio 96/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

A positively kaleidoscopic nose displays a magnificent breadth of red and black pinot fruit aromas, intensely floral and exotic spice nuances that continue onto the rich, full and quite stylish medium full-bodied flavors blessed with impressive reserves of supporting mid-palate sap that relegate the very firm tannic spine to the background before exploding into a youthfully austere yet velvety and palate staining finish that seems to go on and on. This is a very classy effort. Jan 2011, www.burghound.com, Drink: 2027+
