2002 Musigny

Full ruby-red. Floral aromas of red cherry and blood orange. Initially juicy, tightly wound and youthfully hard-edged, but grew sweeter and deeper with aeration, showing rather high-toned, expressive flavors of red berries, minerals, flowers and sweet oak and considerable concentration. Oaky, firm and very long on the finish but with lovely underlying sweetness. I raised my score twice before moving on to the next wine.
