Heady. Broad, lightly figgy, some dried orange peel, caramelised walnut, with a dense, savoury palate that drifts into jamon /fat. Opens into truffle, humidor notes. Elegant , with a refreshing bite on the complex finish. (DB)

Mid copper colour. Silky, honeyed with roasted nuts on the nose. Burnt caramel, espresso and cocoa come together with dried fig, dark chocolate and a lighter dried-citrus note. Smooth, with lightly tangy acidity. Long, fine and seductive. (TP)
Wine aged about 20 years – certified VOS because otherwise owner Jan Pettersen could not sell it (because of the VA restrictions within the categories) but he does not like the terms VOS and VORS and does not use them on the label. Almost honeyed on the nose but not sweet. Nutty, smoky, so complex it can hardly be described. Intense but subtle, just nutty and sweet but dry. Glorious complexity and length. Alive and full of energy – vibrant. The alcohol beautifully integrated. (JH)
Average 20 years old. Pale orange. Toffee nose with a strong green streak. Pungent and rancio and a silly low price. So clean. But I suspect the supermarkets are challenging it with even lower prices for old wine. (JR)
