The home estate of Clement Fayat, the proprietor of numerous properties, most notably La Dominique in St.-Emilion, this beautiful chateau in the southern part of the Medoc has produced a dark ruby-colored 2011 displaying attractive, round, sweet fruit, ripe tannin, and a charming personality. It transcends many wines in this vintage, so enjoy it over the next 4-5 years.

Inky black cherry, black core. Sweet, dark, pumped-up fruit. Very ripe and almost a little raisined. Full of flavour but a bit tough on the finish, with the acidity accentuating the tannins. (JH)
I like the dark chocolate and berry character in this wine. Medium to full body, with chewy tannins and a medium finish. jamessuckling.com
The Clement Pichon shows a little flatness on the nose compared to its peers, although it begins to open up with aeration. The palate shows a lot of extraction although there are no green tannins. Firm grip on the finish with blackberry lingering on the aftertaste. Very modern but lacking personality. Tasted April 2012. Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com
