Medium to deep garnet-brick, 1964 Chateau Margaux has a fully mature nose verging on the downward swing, revealing notes of tobacco, dusty soil, and old leather, leading to a dried figs and dates scented core, with a waft of Indian spices. The medium-bodied palate is lightly chewy and earthy with dried fruit and stewed tea flavors, finishing on a lingering ferrous note.
