Full yellow. Slightly reduced aromas of orange oil and lemon peel. Then firm-edged, citric and stony, with lively acidity and good floral lift giving the wine a refreshing character. Finishes dry in a positive way.

The full-bodied 2002 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard exhibits a distinctive composty/earthy component along with notes of liquid minerals, grapefruit, buttered citrus, and a steely, green-tinged flavor profile reminiscent of a full-bodied French Chablis on steroids.
