Note di degustazione
The 2008 Potensac has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, briary and cedar aromas that gently waft from the glass, the oak here nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannin. This comes across a little savory in style, hints of dried blood infusing the black fruit towards the slightly dry but still balanced finish. Fine. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 10-Year On tasting.

Tasted blind. Dark crimson. Well-integrated nose. Stony and a bit austere but very fresh. Just a little scrawny. But classic. (JR)
Menthol and liquorice, savoury blackcurrant fruit and smooth texture. Medium body, rounded and supple and with a good amount of aniseed aftertaste. (RH)
The 2008 Potensac has a reserved, cedar and pencil lead bouquet, a little subdued despite coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rough tannin, quite rustic and angular in style, plus I would have wanted more flesh to come through on the finish. So-so. (Tasted at BI Wine & Spirit’s annual 10-Year On tasting.)
