Note di degustazione
Magnum of this cru bourgeois made by the same team that produces Ch Léoville Las Cases. 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot. 42% of the harvest went into this wine which was aged in oak barrels, 31% new. Healthily shaded ruby. Lightly aromatic. But the palate is really quite satisfying. The classic dry finish of the house. Certainly not dramatic but definitely serviceable. (JR)

This is a straightforward, elegant Medoc with a dark plum/ruby color, crisp acidity, and pleasant aromatics. Following a good attack, the wine narrows to an austere, clipped finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
Medium red-ruby. Cooler currant, coffee, menthol and oak on the nose. Then lean in the mouth, with limited sweetness of fruit and an edge of acidity. Finishes with decent length but needs more flesh.
