Note di degustazione
The 1994 Potensac has a very underripe, green bell pepper-scented nose. The palate is medium-bodied and fully mature. There is balsamic-infused red fruit with a bit of Brettanomyces on the feral finish. It is a little wayward now at 30 years of age but kind of absorbing at the same time! Tasted at the château.

Potensac's 1994 appears to be one of the better efforts among the cru bourgeois of this vintage. The wine exhibits an excellent deep ruby color, followed by a sweet, ripe nose of red and black fruits, earth, spice, and herbs. Medium-bodied, with attractive fat, glycerin, and light tannin, this is a wine to drink during its first 7-8 years of life. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.

More expressive blackcurrant and licorice nose. More accessible and seemingly riper in the mouth than the '95, or is this wine simply more pliant?
